Position Overview
The Associate Director, University Partnerships – Pathway Programs is responsible for leading and expanding strategic partnerships with top universities in Canada, the UK, Australia, the US, and other key regions. This role focuses on establishing and strengthening partnerships for university pathway and foundation programs, facilitating credit recognition agreements, and driving innovative collaboration in curriculum development. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in international education, university relations, and pathway program development. This role will lead the development and expansion of strategic relationships with top-tier universities in Canada, the UK, and the US.
Key Responsibilities
1. University Pathway and Foundation Program Partnerships
- Identify, establish, and manage strategic partnerships with leading universities for pathway and foundation programs.
- Negotiate and formalize agreements with universities to expand student access to high-quality pathway programs.
- Develop and execute strategies to enhance collaboration with university partners, ensuring alignment with institutional goals and student success metrics.
2. Strategic Alliance with Foundation Program Industry Leaders
- Establish partnerships with key industry players in the foundation program sector to enhance program offerings and student progression opportunities.
- Develop joint initiatives with foundation program providers to drive student success and institutional growth.
- Develop strategy with Rosedale curriculum team to adapt current course portfolio for accreditation and approval in foundation program
3. Facilitate Credit Recognition and Transfer Agreements
- Lead discussions and negotiations with university partners to establish and expand credit recognition agreements for students advanced university credit learning
- Work closely with academic teams to align curriculum with university requirements and optimize credit transferability.
- Ensure seamless articulation agreements and oversee compliance with academic standards.
4. Expansion of Rosedale OSSD Programs with Universities
- Partner with universities in Canada and overseas to establish university collaboratively offered Rosedale OSSD high school programs and Rosedale OSSD university foundation programs.
- Drive collaboration with university leadership teams to create opportunities for student enrolment and academic success.
- Work with internal teams to develop value propositions and marketing strategies for new university partnerships.
- Responsible for developing and executing a strategic partnership roadmap by leveraging partnership development experience with leading universities in Canada, UK and US.
5. Collaboration on Innovative Curriculum and Advanced University Credit Learning Programs
- Engage with university faculty and curriculum development teams to co-create innovative learning experiences.
- Facilitate the development of advanced university credit programs, enabling students to earn university credits while in high school or foundation programs.
- Support the integration of digital and AI-enhanced learning and assessment methodologies in partnership programs.
6. Other Strategic Initiatives
- Identify and pursue new opportunities for international education partnerships aligned with the organization’s long-term goals.
- Represent the organization at international conferences, industry events, and partnership meetings.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to ensure the success of partnership initiatives.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Master’s degree or equivalent in Education, International Relations, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5+ years of managerial experience in international education partnerships, university relations, or pathway program development at university or college level
- Experiences creating high impact partnerships and programs with leading universities in Canada, UK and US
- Strong understanding of university admission processes, credit recognition frameworks, and international education trends.
- Proven track record in establishing and managing high-impact partnerships with universities and educational institutions.
- Exceptional negotiation and relationship management skills.
- Superior project management skills, PMP certificate preferred
- Ability to develop and execute strategic plans, with a results-driven mindset.
- Strong communication, presentation, and project management skills.
- Experience working in a global, cross-cultural environment.
- Willingness to travel internationally as required.
