In today’s education landscape, where AI-generated content and global learning platforms are rapidly reshaping classrooms, the importance of developing critical thinking and digital skills has never been more important. At Rosedale Global High School, Academic Integrity Month is more than just a campaign, it’s a call to action for educators and students to build a culture of academic excellence within their schools, where higher-order thinking skills are developed hand in hand with ethical learning.
This year, Rosedale has taken a more integrated approach to Academic Integrity Month. Integrity is not taught in isolation but as an essential condition for meaningful learning. Students are introduced early on to expectations around originality and responsible use of digital tools, including artificial intelligence, in everything they submit. By creating environments where students are held to high standards and supported through clear feedback and opportunities, Rosedale aims to foster not only trust, but growth.
Aligned with this year’s theme, The Responsible Use of Artificial Intelligence, Rosedale launched its AI Collaboration Student Challenge, inviting students worldwide to co-create original projects using AI tools while reflecting on responsible and ethical AI use.
After a global showcase and community voting, we are excited to announce the winner of the AI Collaboration Challenge: Adna Eteyen Okung from Meadowlands Canadian School, Abuja, Nigeria.

Exploring AI with Integrity and Creativity
Adna’s project stood out for its clarity, originality, and message. His video offered a balanced look at both the opportunities and challenges of artificial intelligence, focusing on how students can use AI in thoughtful and responsible ways. Adna shared:
“The idea behind the video is to make people more aware of the pros and cons of AI. I wanted to share a message about the responsibility that comes with using AI effectively.”
Adna started with his own concept and used AI tools to refine the video’s direction, improve the visuals, and enhance audio quality. When he encountered a challenge with poor audio caused by device limitations, he turned to AI for help.
“I asked AI to suggest solutions, and it gave me three audio enhancement tools. That helped make my voice clearer and more precise. AI didn’t just fix a problem. It helped me think differently about what’s possible.”
Adna’s experience showed him that AI works best when it supports, not substitutes, original thought.
“Students shouldn’t treat AI as the answer to problems, but as a collaborator in finding solutions.”
His reflections capture the intent of the challenge: to show how students can work with AI in ethical, creative ways while staying in charge of their own ideas.
Exploring Ethical Innovation: How Rosedale Global High School Students Learn and Engage with AI
Through Academic Integrity Month 2025, Rosedale Global High School brought its core values to life by spotlighting the intersection of originality, ethical judgment, and digital fluency across global classrooms. This year’s focus encouraged students to explore how to use emerging technologies not just responsibly, but intentionally, as part of their broader development in higher-order thinking.
Rather than restricting student engagement with AI tools, Rosedale took a proactive, educational approach, providing weekly activities for students and educators alike.
Throughout the month, students and educators from Rosedale’s global network of partner schools participated in:
- Week 1: Learning How to Prompt AI, Launch of the AI Collaboration Challenge, where students learned how best to effectively use AI and then engaged in a hands-on challenge to explore what it means to collaborate with AI meaningfully.
- Week 2: Educator Workshop on AI and Academic Excellence, focused on maintaining rigorous learning while using AI as a learning partner.
- Week 3: Student Webinar -Using AI Tools to Boost Learning, explores how AI tools can support learning, boost creativity, and improve academic skills
- Week 4: Educator Workshop on Practical AI Integration in Teaching and Learning, showcases real use-cases on how educators can integrate AI responsibly into classroom instruction.
Sustaining Integrity Beyond the Classroom
Academic Integrity Month may serve as a yearly highlight, but at Rosedale, ethical education is woven into everyday learning and professional development across all partner schools. Rosedale’s commitment goes beyond outlining expectations and ensures students understand the deeper values that shape academic integrity.
